The Daxton collection is an example high-quality furniture made of solid wild oak. For the display case, the oak was carefully selected for its particular properties, such as the knots, blemishes and variety in colouration. The special highlight are the rounded edges. The wild oak, however, is not a special subgenus of oak, but rather a grading of the oak wood as described above. Wild oak is just as robust and durable as the normal oak and is ideal for the production of furniture. For the Daxton display case European wild oak is used to ensure the highest possible quality. In order to preserve the natural grain and its liveliness of the individually selected wood, the surface was also man-made. The oiled wood surface also protects the wood from external influences. To ensure that this remains the case, it is generally recommendable to treat the oiled wood surfaces regularly with wood oil. The wooden door and the glass door have an integrated damping in the door hinges, which prevents the door from banging and closes it softly instead. Both drawers run on high-quality, ball-bearing metal runners with a soft-close mechanism. This also prevents the drawers from slamming shut. Behind the glass frame door, two glass shelves and the lower wooden shelf provide plenty of storage space. Next to the storage space behind the glass door there is further space in the two drawers.
