30cm diameter;;Arctic Cross jellyfish;;swimming in the bay. Lots of common jellies of pink colouration + one lions mane;;swimming in choppy water; stung on arm & leg;;Swimming in the more shallow waters of the bay. Maximum sized compass jellyfish. Has been sighted various times over the past week;;There were hundreds of the pinkn ones along the shoreline for the past few days;;This was a single dinner-plate sized red jellyfish. ;;7 no all on the north side of the Island in one view at 12.40;;7no in the one viewing 12.40 from the north side of the Island;;;;;;absolutely LOADS of these jellyfish in the harbour - also compass and blue ones too but by far the most seen were the common ones.;;;;;;;;;;;;It was just one tiny one ;;Spotted during ferry ride from Aran Islands;;All sizes from 50mm Diameter up to 350mm;;small jellies about 6 inches wide with what looked like for pink circles in side;;many stranded on the shoreline;;;;;;4 transparent jelly fish. Photos available if required;;;;;;;;While collecting marine plankton with a 500um mesh net we chave collected a large number of small jellyfishes (dia: 2cm) within a large diatom bloom.
